Ben Ward
A novel Max4Live device that allows for step sequencing between regions of an uploaded audio file.
Features
- Up to 8 independent steps with controls for region portion, step length/duration, step tuning, gain, and reverse.
- Detailed Audio display for visual feedback when looking for a specific portion of the audio file. Updates based on step parameters.
- Save up to 8 unique sequence patterns with drop down menu that can also be mapped and automated for quick transisitions.
- 3 Sequencer modes
- Rigid - Forces each step to be the same length and allows for shortening the total duration
- Loose - Give each step an independent length based on sequencer division
- Free - play sample regions without constraint from Live's clock source. Sets lengths as percentages of total audio file length.
- 2 Playback Tuning modes
- Tuned - allows for semitone transposition of each step
- Untuned - sets step tuning based on a free 'playback speed' value between 0 - 3.
- Global Features include...
- Swing - Applies a swung delay to every other sample up to an unnecessary 99.9%
- Clock Division - Divide the clock transport with values between 1 - 32. Prime Values such as 7 are available for disturbing results.
- Sequence Offset - Offsets the current starting step value.
- Total Sequence Length - Specify how many steps are being used
- ADSR - Global ADSR allows for fixing harsh transitions between sample steps.
